Hurstwoods Global Deal Boosts Jobs Figures

More than 35 new jobs have been created in Rossendale after a new letting deal completed by property group Hurstwood.

Specialist computing firm Global Technologies will be creating more than 35 new jobs over the next 12 months at New Hall Hey Business Centre in Rawtenstall.

The firm designs and manufactures industrial computers for high-profile organisations such as Severn Trent Water and Dyno Rod drainage services. They also provide specialist business-to-business computer service and support as well as specialist website marketing.

Owner of Global Technologies Chris Turner, who has signed a 10-year lease said: “We were previously based at an industrial park in Haslingden but we have seen our business quadruple in size so we needed more space to take on new staff.

“We turned to Hurstwood because they have an excellent reputation for quality and we have not been disappointed. They helped the transition run as smoothly as possible and have given us a great deal of support from day one.”

Mark Carling, head of commercial lettings and sales at Hurstwood, said: “Unemployment rates are at a high due to the recession so its fantastic to know that this deal has provided much needed jobs for the people of Rossendale.

Although Hurstwood has property interests which extend as far as the Midlands and Wales, we are a Lancashire firm so its fantastic to complete this deal here.

“We recognise that good value is key for any new business and we have been offering some of the best value deals available.”

Based in Navigation Park, Bolton, Hurstwood has commercial property interests in the North West, Midlands and Wales with approximately 500 occupier clients at over 80 locations.
