Sitting too much can Kill you’ seriously its true.

The benefits, Standing Desks

Standing desks offer numerous benefits to a worker’s life including lowering the rate of obesity. Research has found that 'prolonged periods of sitting slows down your metabolism and promotes fat accumulation’. By just standing for a minute you have already lost 0.7 calories, which over the course of a year can mean over 30,000 calories, which is the equivalent of running about ten marathons in a single year, no joke. The biggest benefit that a standing desk has to offer is improving your posture so you’re not hunching over or slouching as you work away, which can help your wellbeing as well and can help you work better.

What are standing desks and break out rooms?

A standing desk is a desk that allows you to stand up comfortably while working. Break out rooms are defined as an area of space open to employees or visitors that is separate from their usual working area. It can be a place for employees to relax, eat their lunch and even hold informal meetings.

The benefits, break out rooms

The three I’s, increasing productivity, increasing creativity, improving well-being. These are the perks of having a well-designed break out room. With the increasing workplace crisis playing out before us, with just under a fifth of Britons suffering from anxiety or depression according to the office for national statistics, employees need a safe space at work, where they can relax and unwind, these are what break out rooms are designed for. Obviously, not all break-out rooms can be as cool as Apple or Google, but a basic break-out room that has the amenities of a kitchen and lounge area offers employees the safe environment they need during the day.
