Hurstwood has re-submitted a revised planning application to Wyre Borough Council for the development of the Waterfront at Knott End.
This important site has stood vacant since 2008 and, as well as being visually unappealing in its present partially constructed state, currently offers no local amenity.
The new plans have been revised to take into account both the requirements of the local council and the needs of the local community. It is hoped that, with their support, work on the development can recommence in the summer of 2012, to be completed by autumn 2013.
To this end, a flyer detailing the planning information is to be distributed in the local community. A copy can be downloaded by clicking the link below:

The changes will result in some of the elevations to the building being simplified but without detriment to the aesthetics of its overall appearance. In addition, the number of apartments to be constructed and on-site parking spaces has been slightly increased from 36 to 40.
These changes have been made to ensure that the scheme is viable and that the apartments are available at an affordable price as well as to reflect the change in the economic situation and the decline of the housing market.
Below are the latest plans for the development, along with the corresponding PDF files.
