Since the New Year, new businesses are locating to Rochdale town centre, meaning more jobs are being created and more potential high street spending.

Now open on Drake Street are the new offices of Pearson Ferrier, estate agents and valuers. In addition, iiPlus who specialise in website design and development have also opened a new branch.

These new businesses join the growing number of recent openings and relocations including, Costa Coffee, Java Espresso Bar, Aldi, Morrison’s Local and Tetrosyl.

Graduate Surveyor, Laura Wilbourn at Hurstwood comments, “This is exciting news for Rochdale town centre, as it gives real momentum for further investment that is currently underway, including the re-opening of the river. This will have a long term positive effect for continued regeneration in the area, and will hopefully bring more occupiers to one of Rochdale’s landmark buildings, No.2 The Esplanade”.

Hurstwood are the proud owners of No.2 The Esplanade which houses the Post Office on the ground floor. Hurstwood have fully refurbished the building to create excellent quality office accommodation over 2 floors, yet preserving the buildings original features. These business centre office suites are available to let via all inclusive packages which incorporate – rent, business rates, utilities, service charge and insurance.

The building continues to be a successful new business destination with occupiers Riverdale Insurance, Adamson Legal and most recently Chameleon Contact Specialists Ltd all located in the building. Chameleon Contact Specialists occupy 1,138 sqft and the company has created 15 new positions whilst opening in January.
