Rochdale to Re-open River Roche

Plans to re-open the River Roche in Rochdale are currently being discussed.

The consensus is that the re-opening of parts of the River Roche will reveal a series of historic bridges that date back to the thirteenth or early fourteenth century.

Sales negotiator Laura Wilbourn at Hurstwood comments, “This is fantastic news for Rochdale. The re-opening of the river will transform the town centre and adjoining public spaces. No.2 The Esplanade, our Grade 2 listed office building in Rochdale town centre, will overlook one of these exposed bridges. The look of the Esplanade itself and surrounding areas will be transformed by these works. Visit our facebook page to see artist’s impressions showing what the end result will look like.”
