Plans to re-open the River Roche in Rochdale are currently being discussed.
The consensus is that the re-opening of parts of the River Roche will reveal a series of historic bridges that date back to the thirteenth or early fourteenth century.
Sales negotiator Laura Wilbourn at Hurstwood comments, “This is fantastic news for Rochdale. The re-opening of the river will transform the town centre and adjoining public spaces. No.2 The Esplanade, our Grade 2 listed office building in Rochdale town centre, will overlook one of these exposed bridges. The look of the Esplanade itself and surrounding areas will be transformed by these works.
