TENANT PROFILE – ASPIRE PLATFORMS

Aspire Platforms provides high-quality access platforms for hire across building and maintenance projects. We spoke to them about their recent expansion to a new 6,400 sq ft unit at Leigh Commerce Park.

Aspire Platforms supplies access hire equipment such as cherry pickers and scissor lifts to the construction industry throughout the UK,” explains Director Vincent Rourke. With the development of Leigh Commerce Park adjacent to its existing premises and the business growing rapidly, we were keen to take advantage of the opportunity to expand.

“We needed to be in a bigger space; somewhere where we could have a creative working space as well as a large depot for our machines. The business and our team are continuing to grow at a rapid rate –  what started out as only three employees less than two years has now grown to 22 members of staff in the North and we have increased our fleet significantly.”

The inspiration behind their high spec fit-out:

A lot of the creativity and ideas came from our bespoke interior design consultancy that we engaged with. We wanted to create a creative modern working environment for our team but also keep that industrial feel. We love our new operations base and believe the fit-out and high-quality building, not only reflects our company image but will also boost employee morale.”

Impressed with the professionalism and ease with which its relocation from its previous unit to Leigh Commerce Park was managed by Hurstwood, Vincent Rourke adds:

“Hurstwood always made sure that they could accommodate our needs.  The team worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth transition throughout the whole process.  We ultimately took six units at the Park totalling 6,400 sq ft and Hurstwood’s flexible approach meant that we were finally able to have the right space that we needed.”

“Leigh will always be our base and head office no matter how big we become.  Whilst our long-term strategy does mean that the company will continue to grow, we are confident that the Hurstwood team will continue to support and work with us on our journey.”

Associate Director at Hurstwood, Chloe Ellerby, says: “Aspire is a major asset to the Park and we are delighted that have been able to support its business growth.  There is a significant shortage of Grade A industrial stock and as Hurstwood has been a landlord in Leigh for over 20 years, this scheme is one that we are particularly proud of.  The fact that all the units were let prior to completion is testament to the exceptional quality of the building and our understanding of the local market.”
