The landmark Post Office building on the Esplanade in Rochdale town centre is back on the market.
Owners Hurstwood have revealed plans to refurbish the property to create a retail/leisure unit on the ground floor and business centre offices on the upper floors.
Hurstwood Sales Director Mark Carling explains: “Rochdale Post Office is a fabulous landmark building, located in the centre of town, directly opposite the Grade I listed town hall. The town centre has benefited from a great deal of investment over the past twelve months, in addition to the new public transport interchange to house the Rochdale Metrolink station.
“Now is the right time for us to invest in the building and we will be spending almost £200,000 on external repairs and decoration this summer.”
Office suites will be available from January 2014. To find out more about the building, visit the property page. More photographs can be found on Hurstwood’s Facebook page.
