Valley Jobs Boost

Rossendale will be given a welcome jobs boost following a new letting deal completed by property group Hurstwood.

Specialist claims management firm Atrium Legal Services will take on several new telesales staff over the next two months, at New Hall Hey Business Centre in Rawtenstall.

Atrium Legal Services help thousands of people who have been affected by working in industry, including suffering hearing loss or other illness because of the working environment.

Managing director Matthew Horne, who has signed a five-year lease at the site, said: “We have relocated from premises in Bury because we are expanding. The offices suited our needs and the location was convenient, being so close to the motorway network.

“Our job is to help people who have worked in industries such as textile, mining, motor, engineering or construction, who may be entitled to compensation. Most people understand about industrial accidents but there are a lot of common diseases that workers are exposed to without knowing.

“We are hoping to provide more than a dozen new jobs in the coming months at the site. We have quickly settled in to our new offices, which is thanks largely to Hurstwood, who have helped things run smoothly from the beginning.”

Tracy Clavell-Bate, Sales and Letting Manager at Hurstwood, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Atrium Legal to the site, particularly as the move will creat new jobs in the valley. They provide a fantastic service and the business will be a welcome addition for Rossendale.”
