Helping LandAid Through RICS pledge to end Youth Homelessness throughout the North West and the rest of the UK to deliver 150 bed spaces.
As a residential developer, we know the importance of having your own space. As Jane Austin once said; “there is nothing like staying home for real comfort”.
Having somewhere to call home may seem normal to the majority of us. However, an ever-increasing minority, particularly youth, find themselves without a home. This leads to increased mental health problems and substance abuse, leaving them in physical and emotional danger.
Here at Hurstwood, we believe everyone deserves a home. Through the new appointment of Stephen Ashworth FRICS as Chairman of the RICS North West Region, we are honoured to be a part of the RICS Pledge 150 initiative aiming to end youth homelessness across the UK.
There are over 80,000 young people in the UK suffering from homelessness. There is an urgent need to aid these young men and women to get the help they need, this isn’t just finding them a home but to offering them services to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
The Pledge 150 campaign is a partnership between the RICS and LandAid with the aim of delivering 150-bed spaces to young people in need across the UK.
Any donations would be greatly welcome and influential on impacting the lives of the youth.
Though the charity will always need donations to help fund the amazing work they do, so please donate what you can, no matter how small it will make an impact on these young people. To donate please follow the link below.
