Acquisitions 

 – Q4 | Quorum Business Park

Q4 on Quorum business park is Hurstwood’s largest-ever acquisition. Offering 100,000 sq ft of grade A office space in Newcastle.  The building offers raised access floors, suspended ceilings, and 2-passenger lifts, we plan to refurbish up to 48,000 sq ft to provide suites ranging from 5,000 to 25,000 Sqft. Our chairman Stephen Ashworth FRICS commented that ‘’Q4 is one of our largest acquisitions to date and is one of many properties Hurstwood has invested in over the last 12 months. We are confident that our plans to improve the offering in the building and provide flexible accommodation will appeal to the local businesses of Newcastle-upon-Tyne’’.

 

 

– Universal House | Middlewich

Another acquisition from Hurstwood this year was Universal House in Cheshire. The building is occupied by car manufacturer Bentley Motors, the building is 23,00 Sq Ft of office space located close to junction 15 off the M6, Middlewich.

Lansil Industrial Estate

Lansil Industrial Estate in Lancaster joins our extensive portfolio of industrial real estate, strategically based only one mile from the M6 with good transport links to Manchester and Liverpool. Based in Lancaster, the estate is severed by the West Coast Mainline with frequent connections between London Euston and up to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Currently, there are four available units ranging from 1,003 to 15,284 Sq Ft.

 

The Shakespeare Centre

The Shakespeare centre is a 35,000 Sq Ft office building based in Southport, Shakespeare street connects to the A570 with Southport Town Centre approximately 0.5 miles away from the property. The property comprises of a ground floor, three upper floors and 109 car parking spaces.

Hurst Lane | Rossendale 

Great progress is being made at our residential development in Hurst lane Rossendale which is a 2 detached family home that offers 5 Bedrooms, a double garage, Siemtaic Kitchen and underfloor heating. Completion is due in Autumn 2019 and is currently undergoing bricklaying and foundation building.

MIN Y DON | Menai

– MIN Y DON comprises of 20 luxury flats on the banks of the Menai Strait, with 4 apartments already sold or exchanged and a completion date of late spring, we can wait to show just how luxury the apartments are.

Albion Gardens | Meltham

– We have finished development on Weaver’s cottage which offers a new build grade ii listed cottage. 



Refurbishments and commercial developments.

We see the importance of improving our already own buildings, so it improves tenants experience, notable refurbishments that have taken place in 2019 include:

Link 665 | Rossendale 

One of Hurstwood’s most notable office buildings went through a major interior refurbishment which included a new reception, breakout room, and communal space, while also redecorating and painting the corridors.

Leigh Business Park | Leigh

Currently undergoing a refurbishment to add 3 new blocks of industrial real estate to the business park, with the foundation on block 1 complete.

Hardmans Mill | Rossendale 

Following phase one refurbishment works on the communal space, we’ve updated and refurbished the toilets at Hardman’s Mill in Rossendale to offer a sleeker and modern design.

Hampton Court | Runcorn

Hampton Court went under a major refurbishment for an incoming tenant, this included updated carpets and lighting fixtures, a brand-new kitchen and bathrooms.



We can’t wait to see what the rest of the year holds for Hurstwood, with the completion of MIN Y DON, Hurst lane and further refurbishment works to take place at Q4 Quorum and Edwin Foden Business Park,  we are very much looking forward to the next six months.
