Hurstwood Holdings has submitted a planning application for a new six court indoor padel facility at its £40 million mixed use scheme, Lune Business Park in Lancaster.

Hurstwood Holdings will design and build the proposed 15,000 sq ft warehouse style building, which will subsequently be fitted out and operated by P4 Padel, a new venture founded by Harry Walker, having agreed a five year lease.

Sam Ashworth, Chief Executive Officer of Hurstwood Holdings, said: “Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country and we are so pleased that we are able to bring this exciting sector into our portfolio, working alongside an innovative and exciting new operator. P4 Padel is an ambitious new challenger brand with a clear vision for creating accessible, state of the art venues and we are delighted to be working with Harry and his team on their first site.

“Lune Business Park has already established itself as a thriving business and leisure destination and the addition of a dedicated padel centre, which will be situated adjacent to gym operator, TNT Elite and nearby Lancaster Climbing Wall, will further strengthen the range of fantastic amenities available on the development.”
