Manchester-based property investment and development company, Hurstwood Holdings, has increased annual revenues and profits, its latest accounts filed today (September 30) show.
The group hailed a “strong year” in the period ending December 31, 2025.
Turnover rose from £19.165m (restated) in 2024 to £20.022m, while pre-tax profits improved, from £3.120m to £4.467m, a 13th consecutive year of profits.
Dividend payouts worth £240,000 have been recommended, the same as the previous year.
The group’s headcount rose from 47 in 2024 to 57.
The directors’ notes to the accounts, signed off by executive chairman and major shareholder Stephen Ashworth, said: “2025 has been a strong year despite the uncertainties in the market.
“The business’s key Income stream of rental Income remains very stable despite the underlying churn of short term leases, driven by the demands of the market, however this does leave us well placed to drive forward as we have done where occupier demand has improved.
“We have significantly reduced the gearing risk with strong amortisation in the last five years and this is set to continue in the year ahead, thus creating further balance sheet strength.”
He said the directors are delighted with the performance of the business with budgets met and exceeded in most areas.
And he added: “Our proven ability to manage an intensive commercial investment portfolio amidst the constraints and risks of what is still a relatively challenging economic situation are what make us unique.
“2025 has seen market conditions become more challenging with rising inflation and interest rates at a higher level than previously encountered, but the directors have continued to take advantage of opportunities whilst consolidating previous gains.
“The business has recorded a profit for the 13th consecutive year as it continues to benefit from a well occupied and managed investment portfolio.”
In July this year the group, revealed it had expanded its national commercial property portfolio to more than £420m following the completion of three strategic acquisitions across the North West of England and Scotland following a busy July acquisition trail, backed by lender Together.
They included Brook House in the heart of Wilmslow town centre, Rossford House, a 21,000 sq ft warehouse in Rawtenstall, and 7 Lochside View, a landmark 60,167 sq ft Grade A office building at Edinburgh Park.
Hurstwood Holdings Ltd is part of a wider group of companies, including Hurstwood Holdings Ltd and Arrowmere Holdings Ltd, that turn over in excess of £60m with profits of £10m+ in 2025.
